So, if you are reading this, you are most likely a Chiefs fan. This would mean most of you probably think Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league.

If that is something you think, you are not wrong. In fact, Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league. Honestly, it isn’t really close. In this piece, I’ll tell you why it isn’t close and who is second.

The Half-Billion Dollar quarterback is taking the league by storm, and in just his first-ever season starting, he was the league’s best. Now, coming into his fourth season as a starter, he continues to hold that title.

Gap Between Mahomes and Second Best QB

In just three long years, yes long due to their post-season runs, the young star quarterback has accomplished more than we’d imagine. With an MVP season in 2018, Mahomes immediately showed his dominance in the league.

It’s crazy for a first-year quarterback to be the best in the league. He has been for three straight years. In 2019, he could not win the MVP due to an injury and missing games, but he did win the Super Bowl MVP, which is even better.

This year, the Chief’s star quarterback had a fantastic season. In fact, a historic season for almost any other quarterback. However, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were unstoppable most of the year, and Rodgers was on another level.

With that being said, Patrick Mahomes is still the league’s best quarterback, and the gap is more comprehensive than you may think. The second-best quarterback maybe Aaron Rodgers, Dashaun Watson, or Russell Wilson.

The fact that we do not know who the second best is is crazy. However, we do know the first, and that is Mahomes. The kid is on pace to break every record imaginable and is widely considered as the most talented quarterback to ever play.

Of course, the title loss to Brady hurts a little, but it’s the greatest quarterback of all time we are talking about here. Either way, Mahomes is great, and he will continue to dominate this league for a very long time.
